Bright multicolour title card for an Italian brainrot character personality quiz

Everyone who follows Italian brainrot eventually asks the important question: if I were one of these AI creatures, which one would I be? This brainrot quiz answers that. It is a real, playable, self-scored personality quiz, not a listicle about quizzes, so grab a scrap of paper or a notes app and actually keep track of your answers as you go.

Here is how the brainrot quiz works: answer all six questions below, writing down the letter (A, B, C, D, or E) for each pick, then tally which letter you chose most and read the matching result at the bottom. Each letter maps to a well-known character, from tralalero tralala to ballerina cappuccina, and if you tie between two, you are officially a crossover creature, which is arguably the most brainrot outcome of all.

Before you start: the cast

Five characters are in play, and all five are real fixtures of the trend. Tralalero tralala is the AI shark in sneakers usually credited as the trend’s starting point (see our Tralalero Tralala explainer). Ballerina cappuccina is the coffee-cup ballerina that The Guardian named in its June 2025 coverage of the craze, and you can read more in our Ballerina Cappuccina explainer. Tung tung tung sahur is the wooden drum creature with Indonesian roots. Brr brr patapim is the forest-and-baboon hybrid, and chimpanzini bananini is the cheerful monkey-in-a-banana. If you want the full lineup, our Italian brainrot characters roster has it, and our what is Italian brainrot explainer covers how the whole genre works.

Tally your answers

Count how many times you picked each letter. Whichever letter you chose most is your result. Tied between two letters? Read both, because you are a crossover, and crossovers are the heart of this whole trend.

Your results

Mostly A: You are Tralalero Tralala. You are the trendsetter, the one who moves first and moves fastest. Like the AI shark in sneakers that many people credit as the character that kicked off Italian brainrot, you set the template and let everyone else follow. Bold, quick, and impossible to ignore.

Mostly B: You are Ballerina Cappuccina. You make hard things look easy. The coffee-cup ballerina is all elegance and quiet talent, the character people underestimate right up until she takes the stage. You are the calm, stylish one who is secretly the most skilled in the room.

Mostly C: You are Tung Tung Tung Sahur. You are the steady heartbeat of your group. The wooden drum creature, whose name comes from the rhythm used to wake people for the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan, is all about reliability and keeping a beat going. You show up, you keep time, and everyone counts on you.

Mostly D: You are Brr Brr Patapim. You are the curious wildcard. The forest-and-baboon creature with the tongue-twister voiceover is mysterious, a little chaotic, and always good for a strange and delightful story. You go your own way and come back with the best plot twists.

Mostly E: You are Chimpanzini Bananini. You are pure good vibes. The monkey-in-a-banana exists to make people smile, and so do you. Silly, warm, and impossible not to like, you are the one who keeps the group laughing.

Play it again

The fun of a brainrot quiz is that it is low-stakes and endlessly re-runnable. Take it as your best friend, take it as your pet, take it twice on purpose to force a different result. There are no wrong answers, only different flavours of absurd AI creature, and the whole point of the genre is that everyone gets to be a ridiculous character.

If your result made you want a character that is truly yours, you do not have to pick from the cast at all. Type any two things you love, like shark and skateboard, into Rotino and it will merge them into your own Italian brainrot cartoon with a silly name you can save and share.
